About Tapatjatjaka Art and Craft Centre
Titjikala is a small community of approximately 220 residents, 107 km south of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. This tiny town has been a traditional area of the Eastern Arrente people since the Dreaming and sits in the midst of a series of red clay pans on the western fringe of the Simpson Desert. A broad, expansive landscape, rich in rocky outcrops, undulating ridges, gorges and dry river beds, the country surrounding Titjikala is stark and arid but incredibly beautiful. Orange and red ochres, sage greens, endless horizons and blue, blue skies. Colour, texture and sounds of the desert to feed your soul and feast your senses.
