About The Bicycle Pedlar

The Bicycle Pedlar is a bike shop in Townsville, run by people who choose not to own a car and enjoy using bicycles to get to work, do the shopping, take the cardboard to the recycling centre or go out for dinner! We are passionate about bicycles as transport, recreation and fun and love talking to people about commuting by bicycle, cycle touring, getting the kids out riding and all those wonderfully practical aspects of bicycle use that are so important to everyday life. We love cycle touring and are always planning our next trip, whether it's just overnight or a longer period. The Bicycle Pedlar sells touring bikes including the Surly, Vivente and Fuji touring models and usually has at least one of each in stock. We carry touring and commuting gear such as Ortlieb panniers and Tubus racks as well as Brompton folding bikes and Brooks leather saddles. Other brands we stock include Breezer, Gazelle, Greenspeed, Esperia, Lazer, Da Brim and Schwalbe tyres.

Do yourself a favour, and go see Mike from The Bicycle Pedlar. We wouldn't go to anyone else. The Bicycle Pedlar has stuck with us and gone the extra mile to try to fix the problem even though our bike issues have been ongoing and it is out of warranty. Hopefully, the problem is fixed now.

Cheers mate! When I came in on my tour up to the cape Mick, from The Bicycle Pedlar, dropped everything to sort me out straight away. He's a very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly guy.

Thanks, Mick! I will be back at The Bicycle Pedlar for regular servicing in the future. I had issues with my old bike, and Mick had all the parts I needed. He gave me lots of great advice on DIY servicing. He took a look and found the problem when I couldn't fix my issues myself! He has great prices for Shimano parts, and nothing was too much to ask. The Bicycle Pedlar is the best bike shop for servicing in Townsville!

The owner of The Bicycle Pedlar, Mick, is a legend. He took a very personable and hands-on approach in helping me prepare for my next tour across the outback. If you happen to be in Townsville before and are planning on taking your touring bike in for repairs in Cairns, take it here instead. I'm so glad I did.

They have good quality parts with the best prices as well. The owner of The Bicycle Pedlar is knowledgeable and very helpful. For any repair concerns, they will fix things honestly and professionally, or they will be happy to let you know how to fix them rather than just try to sell you stuff. The Bicycle Pedlar is the best bike store.

Go to The Bicycle Pedlar! You won't be disappointed. Tune-ups, bike parts, fixes, and advice are all done with a great price and a smile. The great conversations are a great bonus as well! The owners have repeatedly gone above and beyond to provide great service for my whole family. The Bicycle Pedlar is a great spot to come in for a repair/part or buy a new bike! They are the best bike shop in town!
