The SetSmith specialises in the design, fabrication, and installation of custom theatrical sets and stages. We offer a wide range of services that cater to the needs of various clients, such as theatres, schools, event companies and corporate clients. With over fifteen years in the industry we have a unique insight into a director’s vision. Owner Shannon has a rare practical understanding of how the set pieces should work with the actors to create a believable and entertaining show. He has spent four years volunteering in every aspect of technical theatre including back stage crew, stage management, lighting, sound and most recently set building. During this time, he worked in Theatres in Townsville, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gladstone, Maryborough and Brisbane. We pride ourself on creating unique and visually stunning stage sets that enhance the audience's experience and bring the client's vision to life. This is achieved through collaboration to create sets that meet the client's requirements, budget, and timeline. Our services include set design and conceptualisation, technical drawings and 3D modeling, fabrication of sets and props, scenic painting, lighting and sound design, and installation and strike. Our team works closely with the client to ensure that the final product meets their specific needs and exceeds their expectations.
