About Uniting NDIS Local area transition services Office
Uniting supports people aged 7-65 who have NDIS plans and are eligible for the scheme. We are also able to support people with a disability who aren’t eligible for the scheme by connecting them to services and supports in their local community. We aim to help people understand information, reach out to services and supports, and make decisions by themselves. If you are supporting a child aged 0-6 they may be eligible for Early Intervention Early Childhood (ECEI) supports. Visit this page on the NDIS website to find your closest ECEI provider.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a LAC and a Support Coordinator?
A LAC is a free of charge support contracted to the NDIS to help people with their first NDIS plan, NDIS plan reviews and implementation of their NDIS plan. A Support Coordinator is funded in an NDIS plan to help people without informal support or the capacity to manage a plan and its funding by themselves.
What are my options if I’m not eligible for the NDIS?
If you’re not eligible for the NDIS, you may still be supported by ILC. Contact us for more information.
