With several years of experience in holistic health in Herb Medicine, Nutrition, Yoga, Ayurveda & Massage the owner, Mia is a wealth of knowledge in the Natural Therapy field. Thai Massage is her passion. She explains it is the most holistic form of therapy combining modern scientific knowledge of anatomy & physiology with the disciplines of traditional oriental medicine. The purpose of Thai massage is to bring the body, mind, and spirit into a state of balance and harmony, providing an opportunity for deep self-healing. The practitioner always begins the session with a blessing, a moment of centering and connection, asking for assistance from the lineage of teacher (God, The founder Dr. Jivaka, Buddha, or her own personal teacher). She asks for healing for the receiver, herself, anyone else she knows who needs healing, the world and the earth. This practice helps the therapist and receiver to enter a state of meditation, to be mindful of prana (energy and breathing), creating an empty vessel to receive healing energy and to achieve freedom from attachment. During the Massage, you lie on a soft, padded cushion fully clothed with natural cotton clothes provided. Your body is placed into yoga postures while simultaneously using combinations of rhythmic stretching, compression, rocking, and shifting. Your body will gently go places it could not during a yoga class or solitary stretching. Like Yoga, it uses the breath to access deeper layers of your body & mind for healing & toning. Working with 10 main energy lines & the primary acupressure points on these lines makes it possible to treat a whole range of imbalances resulting from disturbances in the flow of Prana(energy). By working on the skin, muscles, organs and the skeletal structure, blood and lymph circulation are increased and toxins are removed from the tissues. It will leave you feeling relaxed and invigorated.

I highly recommend Mia. Her massage is highly technical with her many years of experience. Her hands are magic and relieve the most tense muscles. I always go back home feeling great and relaxed, and I'm always looking forward for my regular massage.
