We were shopping in your store this morning and my husband picked up a gardening fork marked $10. We asked the sales assistant behind the counter to hold this item along with a few others, as we weren't ready to check out. She agreed. When we came to check out, my husband was told he couldn't buy the fork. She explained that a man had come in earlier, seen the fork and wanted to buy it, but obviously didn’t. He then rang up saying he would take it while we were browsing. We were offered an alternative fork for a reduced price. We accepted this at the time as we were quite amazed that the sales staff carried out business like this. I don't believe that we were treated fairly.
