The Hervey Bay Turiya Yoga Centre has been operating since 1973. Turiya yoga combines classical Indian yoga and Tibetan Kum Nye yoga. The Indian yoga uses hatha - asanas (special physical exercises) and pranayama (special breathing exercises) for the body & raja - practices for the mind. Acu-yoga using acupressure points and hatha yoga is also utilized. Kum Nye uses special physical and psychological body-mind practices and breathing.
