Lovely health shop, quality products to choose from, organic foods a huge amount of cold items. the staff are very knowledgeable with qualified practitioners available to get advice from. Love their local honey and nut butter. Highly recommend.

I would have given the pharmacy 5 stars because I received great customer service from one of the younger staff members at the front counter. However another staff member was a rude person and told me to go elsewhere when I needed change for my transaction anyway. I just asked for smaller increments of it. I asked if it wasn't too much trouble as I was giving it to my family members as a Christmas present. I know you don't celebrate Christmas but I do. Could you be a little more polite next time and not an obnoxious rude person.

Since 1960, Darby Street Pharmacy in Cooks Hill has been providing Newcastle locals with a comprehensive range of pharmacy services, including prescriptions and over the counter medications. Our services have grown over the years to now include home medication reviews, baby clinics, blood pressure checks, health care products and advice. At our Newcastle chemist we stock supplies from Diabetes Australia, as well as Webster packs for private and commercial groups. We stock renowned brands such as Codral, Swisse, Blackmores, as well as items from Byron Bay Chocolate Company and Sugarless Confectionary. We sell an extensive range of gifts suitable for all celebrations or special occasions and offer free medication deliveries to the local area. Darby Street Pharmacy is open every day from 8am to 8pm, with plenty of rear parking and access. For customer convenience, we have an onsite ATM. We are members of The Pharmacy Guild of Australia and their Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP).

One of the best chemist in Newcastle my mum passed away from stage 4 emphysema ... The staff looked after her like she was family. The staff always showed mum compassion empathy and good old fashion customer service ... Which is very good considering most shops not all ... Would not no wat customer service is let alone practise it ... Anyway Darby st chemist even let mums credit run up well a lot ... I'm slowly paying it off as that's the right thing 2 do ...
