Ritchies is not only Australia’s largest independent supermarket and liquor company we are also one of the oldest. Founded by Thomas Ritchie in 1870 on the Mornington Peninsula VIC, Ritchies now employs over 6,000 people across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. From a single store in Frankston, Victoria, Ritchies has grown to a network of 76 Supermarkets and 65 Liquor stores along the east coast of Australia. Ritchies involvement and support of our local communities is part of our DNA. Our first “loyalty” program saw Thomas Ritchie giving back a penny for every pound to the local community.
