Illawarra Lymphoedema Service is an integrated health approach offering lymphatic treatments from Manual Lymphatic Drainage to Low Intensity Laser for pain and dysfunctional caused by chronic oedema. Highly qualified remedial massage and lymphatic therapist, Jan Hunter has established this service so as to offer the most clinically recognized treatments options for a range of lymphatic conditions. Conditions may include sinusitis, bursitis, chronic oedema after surgery or sporting injuries and lymphoedema management. Treatment may included manual drainage, laser, lymph taping, bandaging and compression garments. The new Lympopump (a segmental pump) is being used successfully to assist in the management of Lipedema and pain after sporting activities. This method allows for fast assessment, diagnoses and treatment but does not allow for individualised and personalised care. We want to make sure we don't put you in a box but look at you as an individual and tailor a treatment plan accordingly. We will take a little longer, ask more questions and take more time to consider all your individual circumstances before distilling an according treatment plan.
