In 2005 he purchased his second truck and joined IFM Logistics carrying general freight and by the end of 2005 had grown the fleet to four prime movers. Since then Detour Logistics fleet has grown to 31 prime movers servicing the Eastern Seaboard. Bedggood’s Transport PTY LTD was established in 1975 by Barry Bedggood, with the company head office in the Gippsland town of Maffra. Starting out as a single truck owner driver the business has grown to a fleet of 22 late model prime movers including some B-Doubles and servicing Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and other East Coast locations. The trailer fleet is predominantly 45′ taut liners with some flattops, skels and a drop deck. The flat tops are fitted with container pins for use in container cartage to and from the Melbourne wharves. We do daily runs from the Gippsland area to Melbourne and return carting timber and general goods. Smaller consignments can be delivered to our Hallam depot for delivery to anywhere between Warragul and Bairnsdale. The company also runs an interstate full load service to Adelaide, Melbourne,Sydney, Brisbane and other East Coast Locations.
