Learn to read music with Bill Chaplin in Newcastle. We have theory from beginner to highest AMEB contemporary music and can conduct exams if required. Ear training with advanced harmony recognition. Guitar and bass lessons for students who wish to play in bands or record their own CDs. Clear understanding of rudiments of music and what it's all about. Styles catered for: rock, country and western, jazz courses for rhythm and soloing, Latin American, classical, blues, modern contemporary, singing, scat singing, old time music, heavy metal, advanced technique development, understanding notes, scales chord construction, chord substitution, licks, musical phrases, how to play in time, bar chord courses and charts etc. Flexible hours, from 30 mins per week to 1 hourly lesson each 2 weeks.

Lessons are held at my Studio in Kotara and are $33 for a half hour lesson. Hour lessons are available on request. I have been teaching Guitar / Music for over 30 years and listed below are skills that students have asked me to tutor them on over that time. Lessons can include how to play any tune you wish to learn. If we have the MP3 of a song, I will write it out for you.
