Active Ables Community Services is a disability and mental health support service. We cater to NDIS participants throughout the Tamworth region, including the areas of Werris Creek, Manila, and Armidale. Our Staff helps people living with disabilities by providing community nursing, domestic support, and transport and travel services. We not only assist with essential healthcare needs and daily tasks, but we also encourage and empower patients to engage in outdoor social activities. We manages a network of registered nurses, aged care and disability support staff, and psychosocial recovery coaches. I'm Claire, a mother of two school-aged children, and a professional counsellor. I have previous experience in the mental health sector, working with severe mental illness and psychosocial disability in my early career. I have worked with people across the lifespan, from ages 4 into their late 60's and beyond. My passion lies in supporting children to overcome obstacles, develop life skills and live to their full potential, as well as supporting parents to build their self-care to ensure the best outcomes for the whole family. I provide support and solutions with the best interest of the client at heart. If you or your child would benefit from non-judgemental support, information and education to build the happiest, healthiest life possible, then i'm here for you. I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association (level 1) and adhere to the ethical requirements of registration as a professional counsellor, including ongoing professional development and clinical supervision. I am also trained to facilitate children's mindfulness interventions both individually and in a group setting.
