About
Wendy graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 1990, with a 'Bachelor of Arts in Music' degree, majoring in Piano, with secondary studies in Flute and Voice. After graduation, Wendy returned to her home on the Sunshine Coast where she has been teaching ever since. Wendy started teaching Piano, Flute and Theory in 1991 and began entering students in exams with very positive results. Over the past 22 years, Wendy has consistently achieved very high results with her students that have undertaken exams, with regular marks of High Distinction (A+), Honours(A), and Credit (B+ & B) in AMEB exams. Wendy teaches Piano and Flute through to Advanced levels, and Music Theory through to Intermediate (Grade 5) level. In more recent years she started teaching beginner level Clarinet and Saxophone as well. As an accomplished pianist herself, Wendy also enjoys accompanying her woodwind students (flute, clarinet, saxophone) for exams, concerts and eisteddfods. Despite achieving great success in her student's exams, Wendy has many students who just learn for their own enjoyment, and she enjoys teaching the vast range of personalities and interest levels that come her way - of all ages, abilities and past experiences. Wendy teaches everything from Classical to Contemporary; any age, any ability; for exams or 'just for fun'!!

'ABC Creative Piano and Keyboard Tuition' is a professional Music Centre specialising in quality music tuition for Piano, Keyboard and Theory for Children and Adults. Students have the opportunity to work alongside a fully qualified and registered Music Teacher with Australian Music Industry experience in their chosen instrument/s. All students have access to a fully equipped Music Centre, optional nationally recognised music examinations ..AMEB/ ANZCA/ ABRSM/ Trinity College, awards and performances, choice of music styles and pieces that they enjoy from Classical to Modern (all eras from 1900's to current artists and bands...2014...2015 ...2016. This centre provides access to highly qualified and experienced music tuition utilising successful teaching methodology and all students that have chosen to sit examinations have passed with only "Honours', 'First Class Honours' and 'high Distinctions'. Many students learn for fun and enjoyment and through a unique approach to music education and advanced playing techniques are able to learn to play pieces easily and effectively from their very early lessons. The adventure begins here.. I teach from my home studio and have created beautifully illustrated music songbooks for all the beginner levels into the more intermediate and advanced stages of learning. Each song is selected to increase your awareness of rhythm and melodic form, while also giving you a foundational understanding of the patterns behind music, ways to accompany a melody creatively and skills to recognise notation signs and symbols. It's all about the movement of the melody. You'll feel the rhythm, express yourself stunningly and be inspired to create as you go! Music is a beautiful gift to bring joy to both the performer and the listener. Your adventure start here! Fully qualified instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience in the music classroom, music director of various music ensembles and professional music tutor for the individual student. I hold a Bachelor of Music with a piano major and flute minor. Students of all ages are welcome! Classes are motivating, encouraging and employ a range of styles such as chord-based methods, contemporary popular music, score reading and classical AMEB standards.
