Elizabeth graduated from the University of Qld, with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, in 1985. She also has a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and completed a Hydrotherapy course in 1994, before starting her own practice. Bourbong St Physiotherapy is the only physiotherapy practice in the Bundaberg region that holds regular, weekly Aquatic (Hydrotherapy) classes.
