Church Street Medical Centre opened in April 2008, a collaboration between four doctors and two managers. We remain privately owned with five of the original owners still working here today. Over the years we have grown as a practice and currently have seven part time GPs, full time practice nurse support and many allied health practitioners. Being an ownership group of all women we started the practice to not only provide excellent health care to our community but to recognise and support the need for work/life balance in our workplace. You will normally be able to book an appointment on the day you call, particularly if your health issue requires urgent attention. Home visits are available for Dr William Redmayne's regular clients who are unable to attend the medical practice because of their medical condition. Home visits, including those for people in Aged Care Facilities, are regularly done by Dr Redmayne either during or after practice hours. Home visits can be organised via calling our receptionist. A 15km radius of Cessnock is the usual limit for home visits but longer distances can be catered for at the Doctors discretion.
