Minzenmay Poeta traces its roots back to the beginning of Minzenmay Jewellers, nestled on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula—a testament to three generations of unwavering family dedication. In 1911, Wilhelm Friedrich Minzenmay laid the foundations of exquisite watchmaking in Haifa, Palestine. Following the trials of the Second World War, the family’s journey found a new home in Mornington, Australia, meandering through Belgrave, Victoria, before thriving in the heart of Mornington. It remains the longest standing small business in Mornington today, and now our legacy extends to the French Quarter in Hastings Street, Noosa Heads. Guided by Wilhelm’s sons, Kurt and Heinz, the business flourished, marking a pivotal chapter in 1954 as “W. Minzenmay & Sons.” Excellence continued with Heinz, an accomplished watchmaker who garnered accolades and studied at Omega in Switzerland. Tradition and modernisation thrived under Heinz, Cooky, and brother Paul Bergeman into the late 20th century.
