Here at Lake Macquarie Counselling & Psychotherapy, I aim to assist clients to discover the root cause of these issues and more. Within an environment of safety, understanding and support, clients are able to take time out from the pace of everyday life and explore issues that are affecting them personally. Clients can use this time to find reasons for why they are the way they are, and why they may react to certain situations in the way that they do. With time to slow down, and with the use of mindfulness techniques, these issues can be explored on a deeper mind/body level helping understanding and new information to be gained. Sometimes, people can see therapy as intimidating. They may feel unsure or uncomfortable about taking that first step towards facing their fears and reaching for personal growth. I personally look after clients from first telephone contact to the end of counselling. I still love my profession after 20 years. I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. I am a Medicare, Dept of Veteran Affairs, NDIS, WorkCover provider. Medicare rebates available to clients with a Gp referral. I assist clients tackle problems they face, for example, depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, parenting, relationships and workplace issues. I offer a mobile service to the aged person unable to attend a centre. I provide flexibility and offer after hours appointments for those who work 9 to 5. I also offer a "walk and talk" option for mums and bubs or for those who would like this option.

ELD Psychology provides clinical psychology services to adults in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Hunter area. We have experience in delivering therapies for a range of presentations, including stress, anxiety, low mood and depression, eating disorders, OCD, post traumatic stress, relationship difficulties, and more. We use evidence-based treatments to help individuals identify and address difficulties they are facing, and to obtain a sense of balance and wellbeing.
