How often should I do Pilates?
To see noticeable results in a relatively short period of time Pilates should be practiced regularly for three, one hour sessions per week. Power on Pilates understands that a busy work/life schedule does not always allow for this. We invite people from all walks of life, with a range of personal fitness goals and remind everyone to leave their ego at the door!
We ask only that our students commit to achieving their own personal best, and focus mind to mat during the regular sessions they attend to get the best possible results.

What is Pilates? More than just a great work out for the physical body! Pilates is a form of exercise developed in the 1920's to work the mind and muscle in harmony, and is great for those looking to achieve graceful movement, long lean muscles and a strong stream lined physique. Pilates is a common method of mind-body fitness and is gentle enough to be used by physiotherapists as a rehabilitation tool, right through to top level dancers and athletes for body conditioning. This form of exercise works to strengthen all of the muscles in the body, is low impact and is one of the most effective ways to change body shape, improve posture and tone up. Exercise regimes are challenging and can achieve fantastic results for any fitness level or any age. From those wishing to improve their strength, flexibility, and physical fitness, to those with injuries, or during pregnancy. In short this form of exercise is great for anyone.

Fit for Kings isn't just any gym. It's a place where you feel safe, comfortable, for just being you, not matter your fitness levels, personal goals you want to achieve. The support they offer is priceless, truly priceless. They don't have unrealistic ways to meet your goals. They personally tailor everything for you to achieve your own individual goals taking your likes and dislikes into consideration no matter what.. They are the most humbleness, genuine gym I have come across, and I've come across quite a few... I wish with all of my heart that they were closer to me... unfortunately I had to move 8hrs away. From my first meeting I have felt welcomed and been called by name by the team !! I joined just over a month ago and cannot believe how much I am enjoying it!!! I do Yoga and movement longevity classes and love them both! The team is wonderful- they are fun and encouraging - and somehow remember who has was limitation xxx participants are all really lovely and not judgemental - and classes are a great size I can already see small signs of improvement and look forward to more improvements in the future with the guidance and support of infuse health ❤️

Lisa Pollard is a local Yoga teacher operating in the Newcastle area. Lisa is a Yoga and Meditation Teacher with more than 27 years of self practice and teaching experience, in educational, corporate, medical and organisational settings. She has been facilitating 8-week Mindfulness-based interventions since 2007, including MBSR, MB-Stillness Meditation and MB-Restorative Yoga. Lisa feels Yoga is an embodied organic practice that explores the interconnectedness of movement and stillness, in the spirit of self-care. Her openhearted approach to teaching creates a warm inviting space to discover the joys of these mind-body practices. Lisa is particularly interested in the effects of restorative yoga and its application in supporting wellness and reducing stress and anxiety. She teaches weekly yoga and meditation classes and has a private practice working therapeutically with adults and couples. This works includes 8-week interventions, individual self-practice, yoga mentoring and consulting. Lisa has trained in the applications of mindfulness in clinical settings, including MiCBT and Advanced Training in ACT. Lisa is also a visual artist, who has been exhibiting her paintings since 2000, she loves photography, travel and surfing. Lisa has two young children and enjoys living in the community of Newcastle.
